Tom Hanks is één van de hoogst betaalde acteurs in Hollywood, die velen heeft betoverd met zijn persoonlijkheid en positieve uitstraling. Het feit dat hij $350 miljoen waard is voegt alleen maar meer toe aan zijn aantrekkingskracht. Zijn grootste investering was zijn $26 miljoen villa, die hij heeft gekocht van producenten Kathleen Kennedy en Frank Marshall – één van de duurste transacties van 2010.
