Als één van de bekendste talk show presentatrices ter wereld word Ellen DeGeneres geprezen voor haar programma van hoge kwaliteit, maar ook voor haar activisme in de LHBT-gemeenschap. Haar grootste project in haar gehele 40-jaar lange carrière is toch zeker wel The Ellen DeGeneres Show, die nu al zeventien jaar lang bezig is.
Naast haar eigen show is Ellen echter ook een succesvolle schrijfster en heeft ze een platenmaatschappij genaamd Eleveneleven. In 2018 verkocht ze deze luxe Montecito woning voor $34 miljoen, wat schijnbaar $11 miljoen minder is dan wat ze er eigenlijk voor vroeg. Het is een afgezonderde stenen villa met zes slaapkamers en het was gebouwd in de jaren ‘30.
