Apparemment, ils sortaient ensemble depuis 2005 et ils ont attendu jusqu’à 2014 pour l’officialiser au public. Ils se sont mariés en avril 2015 et ont deux filles. Le père de Kim Sears est l’entraîneur de tennis Nigel Sears. Kim est toujours vue aux côtés de son mari durant les tournois.
