Enquanto sua vida professional estava indo de acordo com os seus planos, sua vida pessoal não estava lá grandes coisas já que Mo’Nique lutou com o excesso de peso durante toda vida.
Contudo, as coisas mudaram para a atriz, já que recentemente conseguiu perder impressionantes 36 quilos, graças a mudar sua alimentação e se tornar mais ativa. A atriz passou a comer refeições mais saudáveis e ter um acompanhamento de um personal trainer.
