Mo’Nique tem seguido uma carreira de atriz faz bastante tempo e muitos de vocês devem conhecê-la por seu papel no filme Preciosa, lançado em 2009. Foi o papel que deu Mo’Nique seu primeiro Oscar. Contudo, as coisas mudaram para a atriz, já que recentemente conseguiu perder impressionantes 36 quilos, graças a mudar sua alimentação e se tornar mais ativa. A atriz passou a comer refeições mais saudáveis e ter um acompanhamento de um personal trainer.
