Christie Brinkley – Geboren in 1954
Brinkley werd ontdekt in 1973 door fotograaf Errol Sawyer. Gewoon in een postkantoor, ergens in Parijs. Hij nodigde haar uit voor een fotoshoot en via hem leerde zij John Casablancas kennen, één van de oprichters van Elite Model. Zelf vond ze zichzelf helemaal geen model en gaf bescheiden toe dat ze maar een ‘surfmeisje’ was. Toch steeg haar populariteit rap toen ze werd gevraagd voor drie nationale advertentiecampagnes in Amerika.
Naast een glansrijke modellencarrière werd Christie ook actrice, fotografe, schrijfster en ontwerpster. Zij was tevens te zien als televisiepersoonlijkheid en zet zich in als activiste voor goede doelen zoals dierenrechten en het milieu. Zij trouwde maar liefst vier keer en woont momenteel in Los Angeles. Brinkley is inmiddels 66 jaar oud en ziet er nog steeds zeer goed uit.
