Classe 1973 il bel Edoardo è diventato, senza troppe sorprese, un regista. Nel suo ultimo film ha coinvolto anche la mamma che, nonostante abbia superato gli ottanta anni, non si è tirata indietro dal progetto del figlio.
Non stupisce che Ettore abbia scelto un settore limitrofo a quello in cui ha lavorato la madre. Non si è improvvisato e non ha fatto leva sul nome noto di Sophia, ma ha studiato in scuole come la University of South California e poi ha approfondito gli studi con un master specialistico in regia.
