Carleton Carpenter – Age 93
From a magician to Broadway thespian to Hollywood actor—this is the life of the multi-talented entertainer and self-confessed admirer of both men and women, Carleton Carpenter. In 1950, Carpenter signed with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and solidified his career with over eight films in a span of three years—including his only leading role in the film, Fearless Fagan. He also had experience in writing scripts for both television and movie productions and creating mystery novels in the ‘70s and ‘80s. Carpenter published quite a couple of books throughout the years, with the most recent one being his memoir, The Absolute Joy of Work, in 2016.
