Musician Alicia Keys is a woman who stands out no matter what. VH1 included her on its list of the ‘100 Greatest Artists of All Time.’ And in 2017 and 2005, Time selected her as one of the ‘100 Most Influential People.’ Sometime in 2016, Alicia made known to everyone her opinion that it was OK to go without makeup.

She started a trend alright, which was no surprise. Alicia turned up at the VMAs makeup-free, and when she was with the TV show The Voice, she kept her fresh-faced look the entire time. Of course, not everyone would and could do this. But then not everyone looks as good as Alicia does bare-faced.

Those closest to singer Beyoncé know that when she’s not on-stage, she sometimes takes a breather by going bare-faced without a hint of cosmetics. Bey snapped this selfie and posted it online. In itself, it reveals that a lot goes into the preparation of the professional face that we’ve come to associate with her.

During her solo artist career, more than 100 million of Beyoncé’s records have been sold globally. Her work has gone platinum a number of times, and she has been praised for her live concert shows, exciting singing and stage presence, and videos. She is on the Forbes 2015 and 2017 lists of entertainment’s most powerful women.
