O ator e comediante, Seth Rogen, estabeleceu seu nome na indústria um bom tempo atrás, estrelando muitos filmes e seriados de TV. Mesmo tendo sempre sido gordinho, o ator não teve problemas com sua imagem física e uns quilinhos extra.
Quando foi selecionado para o papel principal em O Besouro Verde, em 2011, Rogen finalmente fez um esforço extra para começar a perder peso. Sua rotina diária consistia em refeições saudáveis e exercícios. Ele chegou a perder em torno de 13 quilos. O filme acabou não sendo muito bem recebido pela crítica, mas pelo menos ele conseguiu melhorar sua aparência.
