Leslie Caron – Age 88

The actress and dancer Leslie Caron appeared in about 45 films until 2003. She rose to stardom thanks to musicals such as An American in Paris, Lili, Daddy Long Legs, and movies like Fanny and The L-Shaped Room. In 2006, her exemplary performance on Law & Order earned her an Emmy. Apart from her acting career, the 87-year old also owned a hotel and restaurant about 100 miles from Paris. She published Thank Heaven, her autobiography, in 2010. The Franco-American star decided to leave Paris and move to England in 2013.

 

 

Marlo Thomas – Age 82

As shared with New York Times, ‘60s star Marlo Thomas was actually called Margo by her parents as a kid. However, the nickname was often mispronounced as Marlo. It stuck with the actress until she became a hit for starring as Ann Marie on the TV show, That Girl, in 1966. Marlo also involved herself in the award-winning kid’s franchise called Free to Be… You and Me. The Nobody’s Child actress’ heart also led her to become the National Outreach Director for the establishment initiated by her dad, Danny Thomas, in 1962 called the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. What a sweetheart!

Caren Marsh-Doll – Age 100

Caren Marsh-Doll capitalized on her resemblance to Judy Garland by playing Judy’s dance double in The Wizard of Oz and also in Ziegfeld Girl. She was a dancer at a young age and so she was quite talented on her toes. For her work in Ziegfeld Girl, she was given ‘the’ ruby red slippers! A devastating airplane accident – from which she recovered, thankfully – led to her leading a career as an instructor later in her life. Actress Dorothy Morris, her sister, was also her neighbor up until Morris passed away in 2011.
