Hollywood Golden Age Stars You Forgot Are Still Alive
Valentina Cortese – Age 95
Valentina Cortese’s career in acting started out with Italian movies but it was a short space of time before she was cast in American and British motion pictures. Her list of credits include Les Miserables and she iconically appeared as both Fantine and Cosette. She received an Academy Award nomination for her great talent on Day and Night, but she went into retirement before she could actually win one. She lost her son in 2015 and she never recovered from her failed marriage, but we hope she’s more at peace now.
