Cassandra Peterson – geboren 1951
Möglicherweise kann man sie mit ihren roten Locken nicht einfach erkennen, aber sie ist die in den USA bekannte Figur Elvira. Um diese Rolle zu finden, hatte Cassandra Peterson einige Rollen gespielt und war auch Sängerin einer Rockband, sowie Showgirl in verschiedenen Bühnenshows und Unterhaltungsprogrammen.
In den späten 80er Jahren wurde sie endlich mit dem FilmElvira: Mistress of the Dark, der auf ihrer Rolle der Elvira aufbaut, berühmt. Davor und auch danach hat sie an weiteren kleineren Filmprojekten teilgenommen, ihr größter Erfolg ist und bleibt aber Elvira, die nicht ruht, sondern immer weiterwächst. Privat ist Cassandra Aktivistin für eine vegetarische Ernährung und macht Werbung für PETA.
