Avatar: The Last Airbender was a very successful Nickelodeon TV show, so naturally, fans were thrilled when it became a movie. Nicola Peltz was cast as Katara, one of the leading characters on the show, and became instantly known around the world. Unfortunately, the movie did not become a franchise like we all hoped it would, as the market outlook was not favorable to sequels. Peltz turned to other projects and was cast in Transformers: Age of Extinction. She then landed a recurring role on the TV show Bates Motel, which spanned from 2013 to 2015. After a role in the 2016 film Youth in Oregon, Peltz has not had any project to date, except for three more films coming up so things may change.
