The NBC series, Little House on the Prairie, was iconic, to say the least, and Melissa Gilbert did exceptional justice to her role as Laura Ingalls Wilder in the series for around a decade. Even though she started acting in the late ‘60s, nobody really noticed her until she was cast as Laura Ingalls in 1974. Her resumé is full of TV acting roles after Little House, however, she has only four acting credits to her name after 2007. It might be telling us that her career is practically over. She has admitted once that she had battled addiction in her 2009 autobiography, and we think that is the reason why her career had to end. Well, for as long as her bank account is safe and makes her live comfortably, then no one can’t complain.
