Danny Lloyd – Danny Torrance on The Shining – 46, Biology Teacher
Danny Lloyd is one of those child stars who define the term ‘brief career,’ as he appeared in just two movies. His first – and most notable one- was Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. As Kubrick stated, Lloyd got the role because he could easily focus on a task despite his age, and perhaps they were even under the impression that he acted in a drama film. After appearing in the TV movie called Will: The Autobiography of G. Gordon Liddy, Lloyd retired in the early ’80s. In 2007, he started getting his paychecks by working as a biology teacher in Kentucky.
