Carlos Villagrán es el actor que está detrás del famoso personaje Quico, de la legendaria serie de televisión El chavo del ocho. Esta serie alcanzó gran popularidad, lanzando a la fama a sus protagonistas. Después de una serie de desencuentros, Carlos decidió iniciar una carrera en solitario, montando un circo itinerante con el que recorrió buena parte de Latinoamérica y el Caribe.
El éxito de Carlos fue rotundo, ganando en un año en solitario, más que todos los años que trabajo en la serie. Se estima que su fortuna asciende a 25 millones de dólares, la mayoría invertida en propiedades en el Distrito Federal mexicano.
