Domingo Johnny Vega, mejor conocido como Américo, es un cantante de cumbia, que tiene influencias de los diversos matices del género que se han desarrollado en el continente. Domingo comenzó desde niño a interesarse por el canto, motivado principalmente por su padre, el cantautor ariqueño Melvin Corazón.
En su momento Américo fue uno de los cantantes que más discos vendió en el país, por lo que no es de extrañar que su fortuna se haya disparado. En la actualidad no viene pasando por buenos momentos económicos, pese a esto, su fortuna se calcula en 2000 millones de pesos, principalmente entre propiedades repartidas por Chile.
