Jason Patric nasceu em Queens, Nova Iorque, em 1966. Seu avô era um comediante famoso e parece que ele conseguiu herdar seus talentos de atuação: é justo dizer que o talento está em seu sangue. Ele apareceu em muitos filmes que incluem The Lost Boys, Sleepers – A Vingança Adormecida e Velocidade Máxima 2. Embora ele fosse muito popular nos anos 80, sua carreira abrandou na década seguinte.
Ele conseguiu um rendimento bastante sólido, por isso não há necessidade de ele se preocupar com qualquer problema de empréstimo. Patric recentemente fez lobby no tribunal para que os doadores de esperma tivessem direitos parentais para os filhos que eles “conceberam”. Ele mesmo ganhou seu próprio caso no tribunal.
