Splash Mountain is al sinds 1989 een Disney-fanfavoriet. Het is dus niet schokkend dat het het toneel is voor veel creatieve fotomomenten op deze lijst. Er werden camera’s op de attractie geïnstalleerd om die spannende momenten vast te leggen, vooral de grote val. Dit leidde tot een trend van rijders die humoristische scènes ensceneerden, zoals deze van een groep die op hilarische wijze een badtijdroutine nadoet.
In de loop der jaren heeft Splash Mountain verschillende upgrades ondergaan om de attractie-ervaring te verbeteren. Enkele opmerkelijke daarvan zijn updates van de animatronics en de visuele effecten van de attractie, die ervoor zorgen dat het verhaal boeiend blijft en de spanning fris blijft voor alle gasten.
