Mikel Arteta es actualmente un entrenador de futbol, pero en sus inicios jugó como centrocampista, su carrera futbolística inició en 1999, hasta 2016 que jugó su último partido con el Arsenal, que era por aquel entonces su equipo. Fue en 2019 que comenzó su nueva carrera como entrenador de futbol y nada más ni nada menos que con el Arsenal.
