Hollywood Golden Age Stars Who Are Still With US
Did you ever wonder if the actor or actress in the film you just watched is still around? How about that song that you just heard recently? Some performers don’t give it up until their last breath, but many retire to enjoy their last days in luxury after a hard lifetime’s work. Just because they’re out of the spotlight by no means suggests they’re dead! Here is a list of several stars you may have thought have kicked the bucket – but they’re alive and kicking! Nehemiah Persoff – Age 99
Nehemiah Persoff relocated to the ‘Big Apple’ in pursuit of his dream of becoming a successful actor. He started off way out of the industry as an electrician for the subway system. Eventually, he managed a break into the entertainment industry and appeared in Yentl and Some Like It Hot. His career peaked in the ’50s going into the ’60s, and he even appeared opposite other great legends of the time including Barbra Streisand.
He then went into retirement to become a painter. We’re sure he certainly didn’t get bored along the way!
