Glynis appeared in the musical A Little Night Music and won a Tony award for her performance. Her list of credit includes the play A Little Night Music and The Sundowners. She also starred in the musical box office hit Mary Poppins and her last known role was in the 1999 film Superstar.

Her first appearance on stage was as a child ballerina in 1935. One year later, someone spotted her on stage again and that was how her story began. Her love for dancing pushed her to later become a ballet instructor.
