Foi âncora do Jornal Nacional e anos depois comentarista política e social pelo Jornal da Noite.
Filha de Maria Tereza Guedes e Secundino Pereira, a primogênita é irmã de Luís e Manuel. Atualmente está casada com José Eduardo Moniz. Madalena que não seguiu os passos da mãe, cursou Comunicação Empresarial.
