Cristina Saralegui es una leyenda del periodismo latinoamericano, que ha realizado una espectacular carrera en los Estados Unidos. Nacida en Cuba, dejó la isla cuando tenía apenas 12 años, instalándose en Miami, la cual sería su centro de actividades para el resto de su vida. Apenas se graduó de la universidad comenzó a trabajar en televisión, siendo Univisión la cadena televisiva en que trabajó toda su vida.
Actualmente tiene 74 años y hace 10 que está retirada, disfrutando de la fortuna que acumuló y de la estrella en el Paseo de la Fama de Hollywood que le dieron como reconocimiento a su trayectoria.
