The first Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film, long before Johnny Depp reprised the lead role, had another outstanding cast: Peter Ostrum. He played Charlie Bucket, and although he was a newbie at that time, he showed great acting prowess. But as it turned out, it became Ostrum’s first and last acting role. After the success of the show where he probably enriched his bank account, the former actor studied medicine and became a veterinarian in New York.
