Lynda był kiedyś uzależniona od alkoholu, ale udało jej się pokonać nałóg i pozostać wolną od uzależnień od prawie dwudziestu lat. Unikanie takich substancji odwadniających zdecydowanie przyczynia się do jej młodego wyglądu. W kwietniu 2018 r. aktorka otrzymała gwiazdę na Hollywood Walk of Fame.
