Il suo primo contatto con il mondo del cinema è stato quando ha partecipato, insieme ad altri compagni di classe ad un prodotto cinematografico intitolato Anneaux d’or, che era un cortometraggio del regista francese René Vautier. Questo film l’ha resa una celebrità locale e l’ha portata a essere scoperta da Jacques Baratier che cercava un’attrice di nazionalità tunisina per il suo film Goha.
Nel 1957 vinse un concorso di bellezza. Il premio includeva un viaggio alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia. Claudia ha debuttato nel mondo del cinema nel 1958 e come si suol dire, il resto è storia!
