Federica continuò la sua carriera sia a livello televisivo che a livello di film per tutti gli anni 80 e 90.
In seguito ha fatto una scelta differente, ritirandosi dal mondo dello spettacolo e dedicandosi maggiormente alla sua famiglia. Oggi vive a Lugano dove è felicemente sposata a un imprenditore nel settore delle acciaierie. Si è dedicata ad un ambito completamente diverso, essendo comunque un’appassionata di design e arte: Ha aperto una galleria, dove si occupa di artisti internazionali.
