Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods – 6 years
Although she stayed out of the spotlight for the first several years of their marriage, Elin Nordgren became a household name when husband Tiger Woods’ long history of infidelity became public knowledge. Born in Sweden, Nordgren met Woods at the 2001 British Open and married him three years later. While the couple had two children together and an outwardly stable marriage, a 2008 car accident triggered a wave of evidence that Tiger had had extramarital affairs with dozens of women. With the help of a powerhouse divorce law firm, Elin walked out of the marriage in 2010 with $100 million of Tiger’s $1.6 billion in career earnings.
