Hip-hop superstar Missy Elliott is a multi-award-winning artist beloved by many, known for chart-topping hits such as ‘Get Ur Freak On.’ Little did everyone know she was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease in 2008. Taking a backseat in music to take care of herself and manage her illness, Missy had to go on a clean diet and adapted a steady workout routine – a change that was initially challenging for her.
The rapper is glowing after she cut bread and junk food from her daily food intake. Missy also shared how she hopes to inspire others with her triumph over both the disease and extra weight.
