Lionel a commencé à sortir avec sa petite amie Antonella Roccuzzo en 2008 et ces deux-là se connaissaient vraiment depuis leur enfance. En 2012, le couple a eu leur premier enfant, un garçon, puis leur deuxième en 2015, un autre garçon. Leur mariage très attendu a finalement eu lieu en 2017 et en 2018, le couple a accueilli leur troisième garçon.
