Aos cinco anos, Victoria Principal apareceu pela primeira em um comercial da TV. Ela esteve envolvida em um grave acidente de carro quando mesmo quando estava começando a faculdade. Com a ajuda de seu advogado perito em lesões corporais, o motorista foi condenado por condução sob influência de álcool e cumpriu pena de prisão.
No tempo de sua recuperação, Victoria percebeu que queria se tornar atriz. Foi uma decisão acertada e todo mundo adorou seu papel em Dallas, onde sua personagem era Pamela Ewing, interpretada por Victoria de forma excelente. Através de várias organizações de solidariedade que Victoria apoia, ela atualmente ajuda pessoas que sofreram abusos.
