Emma Thompson – Geboren in 1959
Emma Thompson, één van Groot Brittanië’s meest bekende actrices, zag de start van haar carrière in 1987 bij de BBC serie Fortunes of War en Tutti Frutti. Haar filmdebuut kwam pas twee jaar later in de film Tall Guy. Ze was de eerste persoon ooit die een Oscar won voor zowel haar acteer- als haar schrijfwerk voor Sense and Sensibility.
Thompson is ook een devoot mensenrechten activiste en ze strijdt voor de gezondheid van onze planeet. Ze had een zes jaar lang durend huwelijk met Kenneth Branagh, maar is nu sinds 2003 getrouwd met Greg Wise. Emma was recentelijk te zien in de film Late Night.
