Akala (real name Kingslee James McLean) is a British Mobo-award winner rapper, poet, journalist, and author. Brother of Ms Dynamite, Akala didn’t have to struggle to start his music career. He started music in 2003 and and released his first mixed tape the following year under his own private label. Couple of years later, Akala released his first studio album. The single “Shakespeare” went on to break records and helped him grab the prestigious MOBO award.
