Džeko a finalement réalisé que Silajdžić était vraiment l’amour de sa vie, et il a décidé de prendre son courage à deux mains et de lui faire sa demande en mariage. Elle a accepté et ils se sont mariés en 2014. Le couple a déjà un fils et une fille.
