She was one of the original Victoria’s Secret Angels, and while she was modeling, she signed on with the TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air for a recurring role in 8 episodes. That was her first prominent role on TV, and after that, she also stepped into the film world, with a role in the film Higher Learning in 1995. Her true television fame came when she started her own modeling reality show called America’s Next Top Model in 2003, which is still on the air. Banks was executive producer of the show till 2015, and host/judge of the show to date. Considering the show did pretty well in its earlier seasons, it has earned her a lot of dividends with a good return on the investment she made into it.
