Gene Hackman went into retirement from Hollywood in 2008, because, well, he’was tired. With exactly 100 acting credits to his name, Hackman has given us some of the best films we’ve ever seen, including Unforgiven in 1992, and The French Connection in 1971. We are surely in debt to him for gracing the screen with his stupendous acting prowess. He has a net worth of $80 million and does not need to work anymore. But he occasionally does, as a novelist.
