Phoebe Cates

Phoebe Cates is known most well for her performances in the 1982 comedy, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and for the 1984 comedy/horror film, Gremlins. Previously a model, her acting career seemed to be building momentum and she was making money hand over fist. However, she took early retirement from acting to raise her children, which is an understandable reason. She did make another appearance in The Anniversary Party in 2001, however only as a favor to a friend and not with any intention of re-entering the world of film.
