The first Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film, long before Johnny Depp reprised the lead role, had another outstanding cast: Peter Ostrum. He played Charlie Bucket, and although he was a newbie at that time, he showed great acting prowess. But as it turned out, it became Ostrum’s first and last acting role.
