Nie tracąc ani sekundy, Hanna i Peter ruszyli biegiem przez ciemny las, kierując się z powrotem do szpitala, aby odnaleźć pierwsze ze stworzeń. W głowie Hanny kłębiło się tysiące pytań: “Czym właściwie były te istoty? Czy uda się je uratować?” Jedno było pewne – to z całą pewnością nie były niedźwiadki. Mimo narastającej ciekawości, Hanna odsunęła pytania na bok, koncentrując się na najważniejszym – zapewnieniu stworzeniom niezbędnej pomocy medycznej. Choć weterynarz wydawałby się najlepszym wyborem w przypadku tak niezwykłych istot, szpital był znacznie bliżej, a czasu mieli coraz mniej. Blask szpitalnych świateł i obietnica fachowej opieki sprawiały, że była to jedyna rozsądna decyzja. Poza tym, szóste stworzenie – to, które przywiodło ich do lasu – już tam na nich czekało.
