A Hollywood legend indeed, Kirk Douglas is an actor and author who worked hard from his poor upbringing to make a name for himself and he did so in golden letters! Appearing in over 90 films, he worked alongside names like Stanley Kubrick and Doris Day and he is a man of great talent. Douglas has written 10 memoirs and novels. He also served in the Navy during World War II. After his lifetime of hard work, we think he deserves all the peace and quiet his well-earned retirement provides him with.
