Zur Sache, Schätzchen – mit diesem Film gelang Uschi Glas der große Durchbruch. Danach spielte sie in zahlreichen Filmkomödien mit, beispielsweise in der Filmreihe Die Lümmel von der ersten Bank, Die 80er Jahre waren geprägt von Mutterschaft und Serien wie Polizeiinspektion 1 oder Unsere schönsten Jahre. Auch in den 90er Jahren blieb die Münchnerin auf Erfolgskurs, mit Zwei Münchner in Hamburg und oder Anna Maria – eine Frau geht ihren Weg, die beide hohe Einschaltquoten erzielten.
Privat ist Uschi Glas seit 2005 mit Dieter Hermann verheiratet, mit dem sie den Verein brotZeit e.V. gegründet hat, der kostenlose Schulfrühstücke in ganz Deutschland organisiert. Die 77-jährige besticht immer noch durch ihren Charme und ihre Ausstrahlung.
