Bill Russell: Basketball Player, $10 Million
One of the biggest legends of the NBA, Bill Russell was a force to reckon with in the 1950s and ’60s. With his outstanding performance as a center for ‘Boston Celtics,’ Russell won 11 championships including eight straight from 1959-1966. Russell revolutionized the sport and in 2009 the award for NBA finals most valuable player was named after him.
Apart from being a five-time NBA MVP and a 12-time All-Star, the late icon has created a legacy for other players of his origin in the sport. His career as an athlete was intermingled with his principles of social justice and equality. Russell’s hard work and talent helped him create the life he deserved, with an estimated net worth of $10 million.
