Glücklicherweise stellen Campingplätze oft bärensichere Behälter zur Aufbewahrung von Lebensmitteln zur Verfügung, was von entscheidender Bedeutung ist, da sie von Essensgerüchen angezogen werden.
Das ist ein unglaublicher Anblick, aber auch ein Warnsignal. Wildtiere, die auf Campingplätzen herumlaufen, sind sehr gefährlich. In Nordamerika sind Bärenangriffe relativ selten, kommen aber dennoch vor, insbesondere wenn ihnen zufällig Menschen über den Weg laufen. Es ist deshalb wichtig, immer einen Sicherheitsabstand einzuhalten und sich niemals wilden Tieren zu nähern oder sie zu füttern.
