Auch wenn viele von uns nicht in der Zeit geboren worden sind zu ihrer Primetime, ist und bleibt Barbara Eden ein klarer Favorit unter all den Personen die es auf die Leinwände geschafft hat, vor allem damals in den 60ern. Ihren Durchbruch hatte sie mit der Hauptrolle in I Dream of Jeannie als, wer hätte es gedacht, Jeannie. Sie spielte diese Rolle für satte 5 Jahre.
Es scheint so als würde sie etwas wissen was uns allen vorenthalten wird, denn sie sieht immer noch verblüffend jung aus. Später führte sie ihre Karriere in Zusammenarbeit mit Columbia Productions, Universal und MGM weiter, wo sie immer wieder neue Erfolge feiern konnte.
