Francoise Bettencourt Meyers – $42.4 Billion
A $42.4-billion fortune is a sum you’d never imagined a person would have. You’re wrong though. Francoise Bettencourt Meyers, who is currently Europe’s richest woman, owns 33% of the cosmetics giant L’Oreal’s stocks. In fact, it was her grandfather Bettencourt Meyers who founded the company. Since 2017, when her mother passed away, Francoise is L’Oreal‘s most prominent heiress (and her mother’s wills and trusts had made sure of that), as she doesn’t have any siblings. She has also authored three books. As of June 2019, she is the richest woman in the world.
